Having occupied Suzak, the rebels tried to extend their influence to the neighboring districts of the district - Turkestan, Chayanovsky and Yany-Kurgan. Soon, the village of Chulak-Kurgan was occupied (75 km south-east of Suzak) and the entire area of Suzak, Sunduk Pass, and Tassaray Gorge was taken under control.
