After the financial success of the first Levittown--even while it was still being built-- A second Levittown is started by Levitt and Sons for seventeen thousand families in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This newer Levittown would come with schools and churches to be built on land donated by the developers. Like the first Levittown, the new Levittown convinced citizens to abandon the everyday urban lifestyle and to settle into the suburbs in Levittown's suburbia. People came to the second Levittown for the same reasons as the first one.

As a result of the economic prosperity that came from the baby boom, there was more than enough money to support the second construction of a Levittown, especially because-- like the first Levittown-- the houses were designed and made in a mass-producible, inexpensive way.
