The Indian act was a bill proposed in 1876 as a method of controlling and helping the indigenous population even though it had the opposite effect. The Indian act imposed a series of regulation about Natives, Their Practices and the land they lived on. It also created the residential schools which are infamous for the grotesque assimilation procedures that happened there.

Overall I rate the Indian Act as a -2
