British Ideals: From 1780- 1850, Britain was one of the most aggressive and successful countries that thrived off of violence and slavery. Through this time Britain was known to be one of the most aggressive and abusive countries as the men in charge were brutal, greedy, and unstable. Their range of cruelty and abuse were not only toward slaves, but they ranged it to their citizens, animals, as well as the countries that surrounded them. Although they were more advanced than other countries, they still participated in harsh and dehumanizing games and acts that were demeaning to their citizens. They thrived off of slavery and found joy and pleasure through the beating a killing of their less fortunate citizens in cock fights; amongst other things.

More toward 1850, Britain had grown more out of this stage of barbarism games, to their classy, polite reputation they uphold today. Although it this change didn’t happen overnight, the British people had changed their outlook and values to a more positive side; that would benefit themselves; not only for their government but their society as a whole. They stopped focusing on slave trade and cruel games, and set their focus on religion, their working industry, bettering themselves for their queen, as well as their personal lives and well being. By doing this period was a way for Britain to not only gain a new outlook on life and doing better for themselves, but it also influenced many countries around them, as they were looked up to and a big influence on the world at the time.
