Formed as a result of the Coercive Acts it was made up of 55 delegated from 12 colonies, not including Georgia, Peyton Randolph was the president of the Congress. The purpose of the Congress was to get the Coercive acts repealed and to go back to pre-taxation period. this led to colonoists boycotting all British goods and staring to train for a battle with Britain if they attaked Boston.
