Augustus was a Roman Statesman and military leader and was the first official Emperor of Rome (despite the many dictatorships before him). He is recognized as one of the most effective and controversial leader in history - holding supreme military command, formatting the Roman Govt. and initiating an era of peace known as Pax Romana.

He died of "natural" causes.
