March Revolution in Russia started on March 8th,1917. It began with strikes in St. Petersburg. Citizens started protesting over low food supply, which was an effect of the low economy they are living in. Czar Nicholas sentenced his troops to stop the protesting, but many of them joined right in with the protesters. Czar Nicholas was not very liked since the 1905 revolution. This is important because people are dying over this low economy, and even troops are fighting against it. It really opens the publics eye.
