The Soviets were formed in December 22nd of 1922. In the Soviet Union all government powers are controlled by a communist party. The Soviets were formed at first to create a “World Soviet Republic” but then it was shown to be better off Russia being the Soviets. The USSR quickly became one of the world's most powerful states and dominated 15 republics. Creating the USSR was very important in the future with fighting in WW2 because they had dominating weapons and was very strong.
