World War 1 began in 1914 and continued in 1916. When Russia was involved it was very unprepared for war, and did not have the right weapons to defeat Germany. Rapsin begged Nicholas II not to go to war but he did anyways. Russia was so weak after the first few battles. Germany was too strong and Russia ended up losing. Germany was called the Nazis and were killing Jewish people in Interprent Camps. The US didn't join the war till 1917. The importance that World War II had on the Russian Revolution is that it showed the citizens of Russia the weakness of Nicholas’s ruling.
