NATO: North Atlantic Treaty Org. North Atlantic Military alliance between 29 North American and European Countries. The treaty was meant to guarantee the freedom and the security of the members in NATO throughout any conflict and proved the alliance between the 29 countries.
Warsaw Pact: Collective defense treaty signed which made it established as a balance or counterweight to NATO and it led to the expansion of military forces and their integration into the respective blocs.
Iron Curtain: The Iron Curtain was the name for the physical boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas from the end of World War II in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991.
Truman Doctrine: the U.S. should support Greece and Turkey to keep them from turning to communism. Gave them 400 Mil to save them from the terrors of Stalin.
Marshall Plan: Aid to Western Europe, to help rebuild Western European Economy after WWII.
Point 4 Program: A way to help and develop poorer countries. It took its name as the 4th foreign policy towards the anti-communism movement.
FOUR Pillars: In Truman's Doctrine he remarked that the only way to get rid of communism was by integrating the 4 pillars in the foreign policy.
