The WPA was apart of the Second New Deal programs and its purpose was to put people to work. Workers worked on construction projects. Artists were paid to paint murals and young people were given jobs so they could stay in school. This represents Politics and Power because for the first time the government played a major role in the economy and in people’s lives.
