29 ottob 1851 anni - Great Exhibition
Descrizione:
To exhibit the progress of the British people, Victoria and Albert hosted the Great Exhibition in London in 1851. It was housed in the now destroyed Crystal Palace which was built out of newly mass-produced materials (glass and iron.) People from all over Europe and Britain came to see the Exhibition resulting in a total of 6 million visitors. Although the Great Exhibition didn't have much of an immediate effect, except the British accepting the German Prince Albert as a popular figure, the event served as an example of British prowess in industry.
