12 lugl 1769 anni - James Watt's Steam Engine
Descrizione:
In the 1760s, James Watt worked on a steam engine that improved upon previous designs from earlier in the century. Watt was able to make a design for a coal powered steam engine with a high efficiency that proved to be one of the most influential inventions in modern history. Watt capitalized on his creation by partnering with Matthew Boulton, an industrialist, to use this engine in Boulton's factories. After the introduction of the steam engine, mass production was possible on a large scale, and without the old limits of power, many new industrial processes were introduced.
