Nicholas 2 had always wanted to lead troops. One of the most disastrous decisions in Russian history. He had no education in military affairs. We should care because Nicholas just made his troops trust him less and want to murder him. This is important because if he didn't lead his troops his soilders probably would change theirr mind about murdering him.
