16 marzo 1957 anni - Principle of Confocal Imaging
Descrizione:
Marvin Minsky made viewing ‘virtual slices’ through a thick specimen relatively easier, as before the images of the slices weren’t able to be viewed clearly. He did this by using a technique which is now known as confocal imaging. Conventional light microscopy didn’t have a high enough resolution for this task, by using a scanning point of light Minsky was able to produce a higher resolution image.
