1 gen 1494 anni - Treaty of Tordesillas
Descrizione:
The Treaty of Tordesillas was a treaty between Spain and Portugal that helped the two countries agree on who would get what land Christopher Columbus found in the Americas. After his expedition, Spain went to the Pope and asked for help, so he secured their new land. This aggravated the Portuguese, who felt cheated after their discovery of Brazil. To settle this argument, both countries signed a treaty at Tordesillas. (4.3)
