In this year the Gadianton Robbers had gained such power and influence that they succeeded in infiltrating much of the Nephite Government.

I believe that Moronihah had died sometime before this, as he would have raised great opposition against the Gadianton Robbers. Yet we hear nothing of such an opposition ever being made.

It was likely about this time that Seezoram was made Chief Judge. Seezoram was a member of the Gadianton Robbers, and was the first Chief Judge that was not a just and righteous man.
