Five days after the Union victory of the Civil War, President Lincoln attended Ford’s Theater to watch a play. During the show, Confederate supporter, John Wilkes Booth, shot president Lincoln in the head. The gunshot wound resulted in many serious injuries and Lincoln died early the next morning.
