The year the band Phish was founded at the University of Burlington Vermont, starting with Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman and their friend Jeff Holdsworth playing together in their dorm rooms, followed shortly by Trey hanging up fliers for a needed bass player, and Mike Gordon responding. First ever show was 12/2/83
