The Moon Landing (otherwise known as Apollo 11) was the landing of the Apollo 11 on the surface of the moon and marked the end of the Space Race. The landing cemented American superiority in space over that of the Soviet Union. The landing also showed the success of the American government program, NASA, which still operates in 2019 due to successes such as the moon landing.
