Aimed to deal with Poverty, Ill Health and Unemployment after the war. Everyone of working age would be expected to pay a Weekly National Insurance Contribution. In return, Benefits would be paid to the Sick, Widowed, Retired and Unemployed and some allowance for Families. Basis of Post-War Social Reform.
