Aka the 12th battle if the Isonzo, The Battle of Caporetto was an Austro-Hungarian and German battle. This started when the two forces broke through the Italian Defenses, catching them by surprise. The Italians suffered a huge loss. In the end, 300,000 Italians were killed in this assault. 90% of the survivors became prisoners.
