Zika is a virus that is primarily transmitted by mosquitoes though it can also pass though sexual contact and hough a pregnant woman to their fetus. The symptoms are generally mild if any, and include fever, rash, joint pain, headache and red eyes. The more dangerous thing though about Zika is the mother to child transmission which is believed to cause a birth defect known as microcephaly where the head and brain are underdeveloped, causing developmental issues.
