The Dalton model was the first modern model of the atom. This model is also called the billiard ball model and is made by John Dalton. John Dalton was looking at water evaporate when he started to think how water and air can fill up the same space when they are so much different. So he came up with atoms as an object that makes up everything and can take up space.
