By the time of his death, Alexander had conquered most of the world known to the ancient Greeks. He was very wise in sword fighting. In 334 BC he invaded the Persian Empire and began a series of campaigns that lasted ten years. Alexander broke the power of Persia in a lot of battles, most notably the battles of Issus and Gaugamela.
