The formation of the Anabaptists was significant in history because it influenced other significant religious groups. The Anabaptists inspired the teachings of Quakers and Baptists. The Anabaptists were persecuted by both Catholics and Protestants, but survived to become the foundation for the Quakers and Baptists.
