Alexander the Great conquered the Persian empire in 330 BC. Greek emperors continued to rule Israel and other parts of the world after Alexander the Great's death. Jewish people settled not only in Israel, but also in places like Egypt, Southwestern Asia, Africa and many more places. Even though Jews lived far from they homeland, they still continued to worship their religion.
