At our end of the year staff meeting, it is clear that Steve's health is declining. He is now using a walker everyday and cannot independently access the stairs - his wife, Diane is in the school every week. Steve announces he has been diagnosed with ALS. He had suspicions as his mother passed away from ALS. Our school staff is devastated.
