He went home and came back with cry cry cry, which he wrote overnight. The song was released with hey porter as a B side of the record. He was backed by the Tennessee two, Luther Perkins and Marshall Grant. Cry cry cry entered the charts soon after it was released 1at #14 and sold 10,000 copies in the southern states of America
