Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo Mississippi on January 8th, 1935. When he was 13, Elvis and his family moved to Memphis Tennessee. He was inspired by many country, pop, R&B and gospel singers and soon decided we wanted to become a singer himself. In 1954, just one year after he graduated high school, Elvis started his musical career with Sun Records, a label owned by Sam Phillips. Phillips helped Elvis pursue his dream, and by 1956, Presley was superstar. His popularity went up ever further from there. Elvis was nominated for the Grammy Award 14 times with his production of countless hit songs. Unfortunately, Elvis died from a drug overdose in 1977. He was only 42 years old.
