Descrizione:

With the help from Ernst Vischer and Charlotte Green, Chargaff reported that there are differences in DNA structure depending on the organism it’s being extracted from. Vischer and Green used partition chromatography to separate the DNA into different components so it can be studied using ultraviolet spectrophotometry. Also, they pictured the shape of DNA to be Moebius strip that could split along the center with each half receiving its traits from the parents.
