Based on data the PNP released on April 23 2017, there had been a total of 7080 deaths from the period of july 1 2016 to Jan 31 2017, the first phase of the drug war. 2555 of these deaths were reported to be from official police operations, 3603 deaths were under investigations as the suspects were supposed unidentified vigilantes, and 902 deaths were investigated and concluded.
