During the final stage of World War II, the United States detonated a nuclear weapon over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Both Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombings killed about 129,000 to 226,000 people, most of whom were civilians.

This unfortunate bombing involved MAD concept because nuclear bombs were detonated in the proccess.
