historical event that began on October 12, 1492, with the arrival in America of an expedition led by Christopher Columbus by order of the kings Isabel and Fernando de Castilla, which had left the Port of Palos two months and nine days before and that, after crossing the Atlantic Ocean, he came to an island in the American continent, Guanahaní, to what he believed to be India. This event constitutes one of the fundamental moments of the universal history and represents the meeting of two worlds that had evolved independently from the origin of humanity, which changed the course of history.
