Glass was first made in the ancient world. The very first glass was known to stone age people which was made for tools and weapons. Amulets and solid beads were made in Mesopotamia. In the beginning it was very hard and slow to manufacture glass. Glass melting furnaces were small and the heat they produced was hardly enough to melt the glass.
