Later, at dinner before the tryouts, Joey's mom announces that her new prime suspect in the case involving Mr. Kratz's truck is none other than Zach. She asks Joey to give her any evidence that might help her to prove that it was Zach. Joey almost does because he thinks that Zach deserves to get in trouble for it because he stole his girlfriend, and is secretly taking private hitting lessons without him. Not to mention the fact that if he does get in trouble, he probably won't be able to try out for the Select Team, which will make Joey a shoe-in. But despite all the good reasons to spill the beans, Joey keeps quiet because he doesn't want to rat out Zach.
