17 sett 1763 anni - Proclamation of 1763

Descrizione:

After the Seven Year War, the colonists were looking forward to settling in the new land gained after their victory in the war against France. King George III, on the other hand, had a different thought and created the Proclamation of 1763. This law prohibited the colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountain Range. This was because King George III did not want to create conflicts with the Native American tribes settled in the land. The colonists ignored the law and began to build houses past the mountain range. This infuriated the British and making them send troops to guard the Appalachian Mountain Range and force the people to leave their houses in which they had just settled in.
