Descrizione:

On July 7th, 1846, Commodore Sloat instructed the U.S. Navy to take the Alta California Capital at Monterrey. The USS Levant, Cyane and Savannah were all instructed to take over the area. The Navy took over Monterrey without firing a shot, the troops having formally evacuating the area.
