The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (JP) is an action/adventure game for the Nintendo Gamecube, and the 10th in The Legend of Zelda series. The game follows the same formula of a young Link fighting over the Triforce against the evil king Ganondorf, however it is set in a different timeline than the previous games.

A sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, was released on the Nintendo DS in late 2007. While there were many games in the series released prior to Phantom Hourglass, this game is considered a sequel due to the fact that it takes place directly after The Wind Waker and contains similar graphics.
