The bill was signed by Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson and the law made it so the government could investigate pollution and help prevent it. The law has lasted 55 years with some amendments made to it such as t requiring the U.S. Department of Health to enforce auto emission standards, grant power to the federal government instead of the states, and address environmental issues. I chose this law because I thought that a law that was important would have a lot of information on it.
