An H5N1 influenza virus, the aptly named bird flu is spread by migratory wild birds and through domestic birds. It has a high mortality rate in humans at 59%, larger than even the Spanish Flu at 20%, but as of now does not pass easily between humans, depending on it's primary carriers, the birds, to spread it.
