Known as "Handy Man" because of the fact that they were the first stone tool makers.The existed approximately 2.5 to 1.5 millions years ago. They were around for roughly 1 million years. They still did not have very big brains so they were able to eat meat that they found but could not hunt animals. They could also use fire that they found (lightning) but could not create fire. An inference we can make about these tools is that Homo Habilis had the brain capability to make stone tools. An inference we can make about the scull in the video above is that this species had a larger brain than Australopithecus.
