Television was becoming extremely popluar across the world with most homes having at least one. in the UK, the main channel was BBC, and so when they started broadcasting in colour, it signalled that this advancement in technology was something that was going to become the norm. This would have a great impact as it demonsrates how with each technological breakthrough, within a short time, that breakthrough would not be secluded to just being used for big projects such as cutting edge films. It would soon be something everyoe can access at home.
