In my opinion, these two events (Battle of Toulouse and Battle of Tours) marked a prominent impact towards Moorish leaders and troop. The first battle was recorded between the troops lead by Al Samh ibn Malik al Khawlani and Duke of Odo while the second battle is between Emir of Cordova, Abd al-Rahman and Charles Martel, the ruler of Frankish kingdom.
From the natural side, I do believe it was a clever and tactical decision by Charles to wait for a moment before sending troop to help Odo in Toulouse. However, the decision made by Muslim ruler was very rush and unclever. For me, it is important to have a stable and good condition of current territories for a long-term empire rather than having a vast area, but everything is in chaos.
This is the important moment for the rise of leadership from Al Nasiri Din Allah and Al-Hajib al-Mansur. Apart from that, it also lifts religious prominent character such as Yousef ibn Tashfin several years later. Both cause Christian marches to retreat up until northern mountain thus enabled Islam to penetrate until far east in the peninsula. Both battle supposedly give a very good lesson to Muslim army. Furthermore, it makes me think, what happened if Muslims won both battle?
