Emmett Till, was a young African-American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 at the age of 14, due to him being accused of offending a white woman. Because of this, his mom took action into her own hands and revealed to the whole world to what white men had done to her son and why it was wrong to treat them as something less of what white people are.
