1 gen 1346 anni - 1346-52: Black Death In Europe, Africa and the Near East

Descrizione:

According to Twelve Diseases That Changed Our World, between 1346 and 1352 was the period of the Black Death. 1/3 of Europe's population, 30% of China's population and over 100,000 people worldwide were dead in those six years. Commonly held beliefs on why the plague happened were generally involving religious ideas like that the Jewish people were responsible or that everyone was just sinful, as well that bad air (miasma) caused it. In truth it was rats carrying fleas with the bubonic plague that were behind it.
