He went to St Louis to meet William H Ashley and Andrew Henry once that was done those three created the fur trading company. Jedediah Smith came together with the rocky mountain fur trading company. The man who owned the rocky mountain fur trading company was David E. Jackson. With those two company's coming together they established 9,000 beaver pelts.
