The Battle of Fallen Timbers was the final battle of the Northwest Indian War. The Americans defeated Native American groups affiliated with the Western Confederacy and led by British captain Alexander McKillop for control of the Northwest Territory. Tecumseh was a minor participant in this battle and would later grow into his role as leader of his own coalition.
