Tecumseh's father died fighting in Lord Dunmore's War and this forced Tecumseh's oldest brother, Chiksika, who was a warrior to raise him. Chiksika taught Tecumseh everything he knew and this set Tecumseh up for success on the battlefield. Tecumseh would also have a special hatred for the white Americans because they had killed his father when he was just a baby.
