18 marzo 1766 anni - Repeal of Stamp Act/
Passage of Declaratory Act
Descrizione:
Upon insistence of prominent British representatives, parliament repealed the Stamp Act, but also added a declaratory act which said that they British have all control over legislation in the colonies. This meant that any future laws are only following the act and couldn't be repealed. The colonists, ecstatic because they though they had power, but failed to realize the declaratory act which was much more eventful.
